Healthy Beginnings Community Impact Project
Nationwide Children’s Hospital has been awarded funding through the Ohio Department of Children and Youth to support a county-wide effort to reduce disparities in infant mortality in Franklin County, Ohio.
This goal of this funding opportunity is to expand the capacity of community-based and faith-based organizations by implementing impactful, community-level projects that improve maternal and infant health outcomes.
Funded projects must address at least one of the following:
1. Access to early prenatal healthcare and related services
2. Access to quality education
3. Connection with their community
4. Financial stability and independence
5. Quality of housing, neighborhood, and environment
6. Address gaps around supporting women and families affected by substance use and interpersonal violence.
